Jon Honeyball gave a very lucid talk in which he summarised how we got to where we are now, and pointed out that it is we – those of us who were/are in IT, the IT Professionals, the infrastructure people (all the way back to 1991), as the Apocolypse has already happened. Jon questioned if “the general public” really care about their data, or even realise their data is being held and mined by commercial companies and governments. Where does all the data go; Russia?
