Our first meeting of the 2019-2020 season kicked off with James Geddes of Geek.Zone/01 (the first instance of Geek.Zone in Coventry) postulating of Geek.Zone/∞, i.e. this was one of many Geek Zones. The meeting was very interactive with us providing input through our phones to several questionaires and surveys, an interactive word cloud was generated from our responses to one of the surveys ‘What is a Geek?’
Geek.Zone/01 offers many events, they have a Pint Night every Friday from 19:00 upstairs at the Flying Standard, Gr8Bit – a retro games console night the third Thursday of every month from 19:00 at The Big Comfy Bookshop and ‘Invade the Castle’ the second Saturday of the month from 10:00; members get to vote for the venue.
How much? £1 per month, plus whatever donation you feel comfortable with… if you’ve only got £1 spare then that’s fine.
