Synopsis:
This will be a meeting with a focus on career progression and professional development for those already in or associated with the IT profession. Coventry Branch is offering this event to aid your career progression. It is anticipated that this will be linked with the BCS SFIA/SFIAplus.
Mark has worked in the IT industry for over 30 years starting as a hardware engineer and in technical support before moving into Learning & Development in sales, business management and consultancy. Working in commercial organisations such as Sun Microsystems, as well as working at the BCS and Open University. In addition to his work as an assessor/coach he works as a subject matter expert for the BCS and City & Guilds for apprenticeship standards.
He has a degree in electrical engineering (from Coventry (Lanchester) Polytechnic) and the Professional Certificate in management from the Open University. He is a member of the BCS and treasurer of the Leaning & Development specialist group.
He often has oil under his fingernails from working on his MX5 and can be distracted by talking about cars, Lego or photography. He has two dogs called Basil and Sybil.
At the end, attendees will be invited to ask further questions. Branch Secretary John will encourage the attendees to think about what has been presented and to email him any further questions they may subsequently think of.
