The ‘BCS community quarterly volunteer newsletter’ for April 2024 spotlights “the extraordinary impact of our volunteers and member groups”, and shines the spotlight on the Coventry Branch attendance at the recent Robot Day 2024 at Coventry College (the link to the BCS article is available here).
The BCS Coventry Branch team were relegated to the corner of a large room, the lion’s share of which was take up by Caloden Castle School – and quite rightly too – they had a load of kit and ideas to share. We on the BCS stand were fully occupied all day and had very little opportunity to take pictures of what we were doing, so I offer here some pictures of the kit and resources we had on our stand. If the college comes up with some pictures they took of our stand, I will post them here. Meanwhile, please enjoy the article, and these pictures I took retrospectively.
The kit we were showing:
The resources we had to draw on, including the merchandising from the BCS – post-it notes with a cover that you could plant to grow flowers from – and small bags of jelly beans – trust me thay are so chewy you wouldn’t want a large bag!
We were there primarily to promote the BCS ICDL Level 1 Robotics course/award. For more information, please checkout this page.
