Synopsis:
Battery electric vehicles are proposed as the answer to air pollution and carbon dioxide emissions, but are they really “zero emissions”, and will they deliver the range, durability and charging convenience that we need ?
The lecture will explain why batteries are the key to this, how they work, how they are made, their role in future transport, and the research being done to improve them.

This meeting has been jointly organised by BCS, IET and IMA.

This is an open meeting, there is no charge to attend, everyone is welcome, but booking is essential. Students are particularly welcome. The lecture is suitable for children and young adults, but under 16s must be accompanied by an adullt.

Light refreshments will be available before the lecture. Guests are most welcome to join us for a light buffet and networking after the lecture.

When booking, please can you confirm which professional body (if any) you are a member of, thank you.
