About Us The Coventry Branch serves some 620 branch members in Coventry and Warwickshire. We even have members in Kent and Hong Kong. We aim to run 7 open meetings throughout the year. They are normally scheduled for the third wednesday of every month September to April (except December) with our Annual General Meeting in May. All meetings are free to attend, and all are welcome, not just Branch Members.

Our exciting competition for students at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Post-16 has now completed

Schools Competition In 2005 the Coventry Branch organised a competition aimed at schools, colleges and youth groups from Coventry and Warwickshire.   The entries were to be judged in three categories, based on students' age ranges: Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Post 16, however no post 16 year olds entered. That competition culminated in June 2006 with a prestigious prize giving, with Lady Godiva as the master of ceremonies and Sir Charles Hughes (outgoing BCS President) and the Honourable Lord Mayor as distinguished guests.

We re-started the competition August 2007 and this culminated in the finals awards event at Coventry University on the 2nd July 2008.

We intend to re-run the competition starting in 2009; if you would like t o help, please email:

The awards event for the previous competition happened 5th July 2006, the Branch Secretary's personal report is available from this link
